Introduction:
The fume hood is often the primary control device for protecting laboratory workers when working with flammable and/or toxic chemicals.
PRINCIPLE:
The Fume hood is based on the principle to provide a work area which is free from all the potentially hazardous fume or chemical effluents that may be emitted during the course of a given experiment or procedure. The Quest fume hood capture the fume released during on experiment by drawing fresh air from the environment, Pass the user and get into the unit. This way the concentration of the chemical Fume/Effluents are kept at the minimum possible levels in and around the breathing zone of the user. A fume hood is a type of ventilation system that primarily functions to provide personnel protection against toxic fumes, vapors and dust. Its secondary function includes protection against chemical spills, runaway reactions and fires by acting as a physical barrier.

A fume hood is a ventilated, enclosed work space intended to capture, contain, and exhaust harmful or dangerous fumes, vapors, and particulate matter generated by procedures conducted within the fume hood.

Double Walled .Metallic CRC sheet duly power coated .Interior chemical resistance ,Durable ,FRP Or polypropylene integral work wells with Baffle arrangement .Work top chemical resistant splash & Spillage proof Granite. Auxiliary type fume hood with all remote controlled service lines i.e Water supply ,Two port of gas , / Vacuum and LPG gas. Two electrical Sockets.

Design Structure : Aerodynamic, Floor Mounted.
Airflow type : Automatic bypass type.
Construction Exterior : Powder coated G.I or M.S Sheet.
Construction Interior : Chemical resistance, Durable, Polypropylene /Glass fiber integral work walls(5mm Thick)
Baffle arrangement : 3 point suction System( for Light, Normal & heavy fumes) with baffle to ensure smooth and immediate Exhaust Fume.
Working table : Chemical resistance splash & spillage proof granite worktop.
Sink/Water tap : Work top has PP sink for drainage with a water tap & drain arrangement.
Sash : Vertical rising counter balanced 'Toughened Glass' (4mm Thick).Smooth and light sash operation. Clear open able sash height.
Wet & Dry service : Remotely operated color coded (as per international fitting norms) For Gas, Water & Vacuum connection.
Lighting: Fluorescent light (40 watts,1 NOS. or 20 watts,2 Nos ) With vapor -proof fitting to proper illumination.
Electrical Utility : Electrical socket (230 V,5/15 A ,50 Hz) With Blower NO/NC switch(For customer starter) and lighting switch On front Fascia.
Chemical storage : Base cabinet will be ready to received the fume hood at its base cabinet top. Internal FRP Lining to the cabinet walls. Two horizontal partition to store chemicals. Double skin doors with magnetic inter locking arrangement.
Fire Extinguisher: ABC Dry Powder fire extinguisher(500gm.)
To adjust fume hood level by +/- 100 mm approx.
